Depending on which member of my family you ask, I am currently riding either Batman’s bike or Wolverine’s bike. I’m not fussed whose bike it is. The important thing for them to tell people, is that I won it from them in a good old-fashioned match of fisticuffs.
Tassels and leather chaps aside, I have never been a cruiser fan. I’ve never ridden a Harley that I’ve enjoyed. Riding the Triumph Rocket and Thunderbird, left me certain that I wouldn’t be buying a cruiser anytime in the next three decades.
As my 1299 is off enjoying itself on another ‘warranty holiday’, Ducati have lent me a 2016 Diavel. I really wasn’t sure what to expect, and for the last three weeks this bike has been destroying every preconception i had about it.
